Summons determination, making good whiskey (4)
I believe the answer is:
writ
'summons' is the definition.
(legal summons)
'determination making good whiskey' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'whiskey' could be 'w' (phonetic alphabet: alpha, bravo, charlie etc.) and 'w' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'rit' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
(Other definitions for writ that I've seen before include "Sealed document" , "official order" , "Legal document issued by an officer of the court" , "Legal document of command" , "Court order document" .)
