The part of SE England (as at Harrow?) (5)
I believe the answer is:
weald
'the part' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both locations as well as being singular nouns.
Maybe they are linked in a way I don't understand?
'se england as at harrow?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'england' could be 'e' and 'e' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'wald' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'of' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for weald that I've seen before include "Fertile Kent area" , "Fertile area between N. and S. Downs" , "The ___, area between the North and South Downs" , "area of woodland" , "District between N. & S. Downs" .)
