There’s nothing about accommodating the deer (3)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

roe

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'deer' is the definition.
(roe deer is a kind of deer)

'there's nothing about accommodating' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'nothing' could be 'o' (O resembles 0) and 'o' is located in the answer.
'about' could be 're' ('re' means regarding or about) and 're' is present in the leftover letters.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

'the' acts as a link.

(Other definitions for roe that I've seen before include "eg Caviare" , "Food from fish" , "Caviar" , "If hard, eggs" , "Fish eggs; small deer" .)

I've seen this clue in the Evening Standard.
