Tips for acts that are finished (9)
I believe the answer is:
overturns
'tips' is the definition.
The answer and definition can be both related to change as well as being verbs in their -s form.
Maybe they are linked in a way I don't understand?
'acts that are finished' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'acts' could be 'turns' ('turn' can be a synonym of 'act') and 'turns' is found in the answer.
'finished' could be 'over' (over can mean finished or ended) and 'over' is present in the answer.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'for' is the link.

(Other definitions for overturns that I've seen before include "Upends" , "Upsets" .)
