I believe the answer is:

college

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'school' is the definition.
(college is a kind of school)

'unusual glee shown after getting a pass' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
an anagram of 'glee' is 'lege' which is present in the answer.
'pass' could be 'col' (col is a term for a mountain pass) and 'col' is located in the answer.
This accounts for all the letters.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).

'in' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for college that I've seen before include "School" , "Institution of higher education" , "Balliol, perhaps?" , "eg Eton" , "Education institute" .)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail.
