Victorian craftsman married The Florentine (6)
I believe the answer is:
morris
'victorian craftsman' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'married the florentine' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'married' could be 'm' (abbreviation, e.g. in genealogy) and 'm' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'orris' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for morris that I've seen before include "Traditional English dance" , "19th-century designer" , "Socialist designer" , "William --, English designer and novelist" , "SECOND PART OF 17" .)
