Weak sense about black and white's last piece (6)
I believe the answer is:
feeble
'weak' is the definition.
(I know that weak can be written as feeble)
'sense about black and white's last piece' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'black' could be 'b' (abbreviation as in pencil classifications) and 'b' is located in the answer.
'sense' could be 'feel' (synonyms) and 'feel' is present in the leftover letters.
A single letter 'e' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for feeble that I've seen before include "Very weak, without strength" , "Weak or Fragile" , "Weak - unconvincing" , "Weak, frail" , "Physically weak or lacking effectiveness" .)
