Weapon's power dismissed by skilled workman (7)
I believe the answer is:
artisan
'skilled workman' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'weapon's power dismissed' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'power' could be 'art' (art is a kind of power) and 'art' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'by' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for artisan that I've seen before include "Egypt peninsula; holy Mount" , "one in command of craft?" , "Train as (anag) - craftsman" , "Skilled workman" , "Skilled worker at craft or trade" .)
