Where to put flowers when you have retired? (2,3)
I believe the answer is:
in bed
'retired?' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'where to put flowers when' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'put' could be 'bed' (bedding is a kind of putting) and 'bed' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'in' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'you have' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for in bed that I've seen before include "Lying, possibly" , "10 [AT REST] ," , "as 15 Down [GARDENERS] may be?" , "Retired?" , "Not yet up" .)
