Wrecked ship? Curiously intact when one’s boarded (7)
I believe the answer is:
titanic
'wrecked ship?' is the definition.
'titanic' can be an answer for 'ship?' (I've seen this before). I am not certain of the 'wrecked' bit.
'curiously intact when one's boarded' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'one' could be 'an' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'an' is located in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for titanic that I've seen before include "Huge - disaster struck this ship" , "Famous doomed transatlantic liner" , "Of enormous size, like the stricken liner" , "Hugely strong (but lost!)" , "Film success (1997) - ship disaster (1912)" .)
