Are out to get the point they deserve (4)
I believe the answer is:
earn
'deserve' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'are out to get the point they' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
an anagram of 'are' is 'ear' which is present in the answer.
'point' could be 'n' (North) and 'n' is found in the answer.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for earn that I've seen before include "Acquire money by labour" , "Make; deserve" , "Gain credit from" , "There's merit" , "Merit through work or endeavour" .)
