Concede the point, on netting it (3)
I believe the answer is:
own
'concede' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'point on netting it' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'point' could be 'w' (W is an example) and 'w' is located in the answer.
'on' is within the answer.
No letters remain.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'the' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for own that I've seen before include "Acknowledge" , "Posses" , "Possess or confess" , "Control" , "Be in legal possession of (3)" .)
