Instructions to leave off in America (3-2)
I believe the answer is:
get-go
'instructions' is the definition.
Both the answer and definition are singular nouns.
Maybe you can see an association between them that I don't see?
'leave off in america' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'leave' could be 'go' (to go is to depart or leave) and 'go' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'get' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'to' is the link.
