Notes range - new sheets (3,5)
I believe the answer is:
bed linen
'sheets' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'notes range new' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'notes' could be 'ed' and 'ed' is found within the answer.
'range' could be 'line' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'line' is found within the answer.
'new' could be 'n' (common abbreviation eg NT for New Testament) and 'n' is present in the answer.
A single letter 'b' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for bed linen that I've seen before include "Sheets and pillowcases, primarily" , "Sheets and pillow cases, for instance" , "Sheets, duvets, etc" , "Sheets, pillowcases, etc." , "folded sheets?" .)
