Notes - two in full and three in brief (4,3)
I believe the answer is:
sofa bed
'three in brief' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't understand how they can define each other.
'notes two in full' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'notes' could be 'fa' and 'fa' is found in the answer.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).
'and' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for sofa bed that I've seen before include "Dual purpose couch" , "Seat that converts for sleeping on" , "One may be lying here!" , "dual-purpose item of furniture" , "Convertible furniture" .)
