Sprightly, but not unusually light (4)

I believe the answer is:
spry
This clue could be a double definition.
'sprightly' is the first definition.
(I've seen this before)
'not unusually light' is the second definition.
'spry' can be an answer for 'light' (synonyms). I am not certain of the 'not unusually' bit.
'but' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for spry that I've seen before include "Alert" , "'Active and lively, nimble (4)'" , "Fleet" , "Light on one's feet" , "Agile (for one's age?)" .)
