Crossword Genius

Tango ritual: dancing in name only (7)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

titular

'in name only' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)

'tango ritual dancing' is the wordplay.
'tango' becomes 'T' (phonetic alphabet: alpha, bravo, charlie etc.).
'dancing' is an anagram indicator.
'ritual' is an anagram of 'itular'.
't'+'itular'='TITULAR'

(Other definitions for titular that I've seen before include "Honorary" , "as figureheads" , "Nominal" , "So called" , "Having title but not authority" .)

I've seen this clue in the Sydney Morning Herald.
