Ross

I believe the answer is:

cricket

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

This might be a double definition.

'the entomologist's' is the first definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I cannot understand how one could define the other.

'game?' is the second definition.
(I know that cricket is a type of bat-and-ball game)

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for cricket that I've seen before include "Ball game" , "Insect - sport" , "a jumper" , "Insect with long leg" , "Six-footer" .)

I've seen this clue in the Evening Standard.
