With luck, will level with and will not lose money (5,4)
I believe the answer is:
break even
'not lose money' is the definition.
('break even' is the opposite to 'lose money')
'with luck will level with and' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'level' could be 'even' (synonyms) and 'even' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'break' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'will' is the link.

(Other definitions for break even that I've seen before include "almost go into profit" , "Neither win nor lose" , "At least lose nothing" , "Make neither profit nor loss" , "Having equal cost" .)
