Creature of pride (4)
I believe the answer is:
lion
'creature' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'of pride' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'of' could be 'o' and 'o' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'lin' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for lion that I've seen before include "Animal which Judah is described as" , "Large predatory feline" , "Cat, the king of the beasts" , "Carnivore" , "Large cat; rugby player" .)
