Don't give up working as a judge (4,2,6)
I believe the answer is:
keep on trying
'don't give up' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'working as a judge' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'working' could be 'on' (e.g. a machine is working or on) and 'on' is present in the answer.
'as' could be 'in' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'in' is located in the answer.
'judge' could be 'try' (as in trialling a defendant) and 'try' is found within the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Another definition for keep on trying that I've seen is " Don't give up".)
